Words to describe people are mostly adjectives. Some describe appearance (tall, slim, fair), and some describe personality or character (honest, shy, generous). We usually place them before a noun (a kind man) or after 'be' (He is kind).
মানুষকে বর্ণনা করার শব্দগুলো মূলত adjective। কিছু চেহারা বোঝায় (tall, slim, fair), কিছু স্বভাব বা চরিত্র বোঝায় (honest, shy, generous)। সাধারণত এগুলো noun-এর আগে বসে (a kind man) অথবা 'be' verb-এর পরে বসে (He is kind)।

মানুষকে বর্ণনা করার সময় দুই ধরনের শব্দ মনে রাখুন — চেহারা (appearance) আর স্বভাব (personality)। চেহারার জন্য: tall (লম্বা), short (খাটো), slim (ছিপছিপে), fair (ফর্সা)। স্বভাবের জন্য: honest (সৎ), polite (ভদ্র), generous (উদার), hardworking (পরিশ্রমী), shy (লাজুক)। মনে রাখবেন, বাংলায় আমরা 'সে ভালো মানুষ' বলি, কিন্তু ইংরেজিতে নির্দিষ্ট শব্দ ব্যবহার করলে বেশি স্বাভাবিক শোনায় — 'good' না বলে 'kind', 'honest' বা 'friendly' বলুন। adjective সবসময় singular/plural-এ একই থাকে, তাই 'kind persons' নয়, 'kind people' বলুন।

Common Mistakesসাধারণ ভুল
She is a sensible girl. (meaning: emotional)
She is a sensitive girl.
'Sensible' means having good judgement; 'sensitive' means easily affected by feelings. Learners often mix these two.
The teacher is very boring today. (meaning: tired of it)
The students are bored today.
'Boring' describes the thing/person causing the feeling; 'bored' describes the person who feels it.
He is very fun person.
He is a very funny person.
To describe someone who makes you laugh, use 'funny'. 'Fun' is usually a noun/describes an activity (a fun trip).
They are kind persons.
They are kind people.
The natural plural of 'person' is 'people'. 'Persons' sounds formal/legal and is rare in everyday English.
