1. Agreement

By using englishbd.com or the EnglishBD learning apps you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

EnglishBD provides English-learning content and tools — lessons, practice, a dictionary, articles and an AI-assisted tutor — built for Bangladeshi learners with Bangla-supported guidance.

The core learning experience is free. Some optional features (for example, verified directory profiles for teachers and institutions) may carry a fee, which will always be shown clearly before you pay.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information when you register, keep your credentials safe, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempting to break or overload the platform, no scraping or bulk-copying of content, no impersonating others, and no harassment of other users, teachers or institutions.

5. Content

EnglishBD's learning content (lessons, articles, dictionary entries, exercises) belongs to EnglishBD or its licensors. You may use it for personal learning; you may not republish or resell it.

Content you submit (for example, practice answers or profile information) remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to operate the service — to store, display and process it for you.

6. Teacher & institution directory

Directory pages for institutions are compiled from publicly available facts. Teacher profiles are claim-based: real teacher profiles exist only when the teacher creates or claims them; demonstration profiles are clearly marked as samples.

Claiming a profile requires confirming your identity and, for teachers, your institution. Inaccurate claims may be removed. If a page about you needs correction, contact us.

7. Honest expectations

We work hard to make the content accurate and the practice effective, but learning outcomes depend on you — we do not guarantee exam scores, jobs or specific results. The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnglishBD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Ending or changing the service

You can stop using EnglishBD and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. We may update features and these terms as the platform evolves; significant changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
