Everything published on englishbd.com — lessons, grammar explanations, model answers, dictionary entries and articles — is for general educational purposes. We write it carefully and revise it when we find a mistake, but it is study material, not professional instruction tailored to your situation.

Language is not always tidy. English usage differs between regions, registers and examination boards, and a rule that holds in an SSC answer script may be phrased differently in an IELTS band descriptor. Where a usage is genuinely disputed we try to say so rather than pick a side quietly.

No guarantee of results

We do not promise exam scores, band scores, admission or employment. What you get out of the site depends on how much practice you do, and no website can do that part for you. Anyone promising you a guaranteed band score is selling something.

Model answers — paragraphs, compositions, applications, dialogues — are examples of how a question can be answered well. They are for learning from, not for copying into an examination script. Submitting someone else's writing as your own is a matter for your board or institution, and it is not what these pages are for.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim for accuracy and check what we publish, but a site of this size will contain errors. If you find one, tell us at support@englishbd.com and we will correct it — corrections are free and we would rather be told.

Dictionary entries give common meanings and usual usage. They are not a scholarly lexicon, and a word's meaning in a particular sentence can depend on context that a dictionary entry cannot see.

AI-assisted content

Some explanations on the platform are produced or assisted by AI, and reviewed against our own knowledge base before they are shown. AI can still be confidently wrong. Treat an AI explanation as a helpful second opinion rather than a final authority, and check anything that matters for an exam.

The teacher and institution directory

Directory pages are compiled from publicly available information, or created by the teacher or institution themselves. Listing is not endorsement, accreditation or a recommendation, and we do not verify the quality of teaching offered. Sample profiles are clearly marked as samples.
