The bedroom is where the day begins and ends, so its words come up whenever you talk about sleep, rest and getting ready. Learning the names of bedroom furniture, bedding and the verbs that go with them makes describing your home and routine in English simple.
শোবার ঘরেই দিন শুরু আর শেষ হয়, তাই ঘুম, বিশ্রাম ও প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে কথা বললেই এর শব্দ লাগে। শোবার ঘরের আসবাব, বিছানার জিনিস ও সেগুলোর সাথের verb শিখলে নিজের ঘর ও রুটিন ইংরেজিতে বলা সহজ হয়।

Common Mistakesসাধারণ ভুল
Put a cushion under my head.
Put a pillow under my head.
A 'pillow' is for the bed and your head; a 'cushion' is for a chair or sofa.
The room has many furnitures.
The room has a lot of furniture.
'Furniture' is uncountable — no plural -s. Count with 'a piece of furniture' or 'a lot of furniture'.
Off the light before sleeping.
Turn off the light before sleeping.
'Off' is not a verb here. Use 'turn off the light' (and 'turn on' to switch it on).
I sleep in 10 pm.
I go to sleep at 10 pm.
Use 'at' with clock times, and 'go to sleep'. Note 'sleep in' actually means to sleep late in the morning.

What is the difference between a pillow and a cushion?
A 'pillow' is the soft support you put your head on in bed. A 'cushion' is the soft pad you sit on or lean against on a chair or sofa. Same idea, different rooms.
Why is 'furnitures' wrong?
'Furniture' is an uncountable noun, so it never takes a plural -s. To count items, use 'a piece of furniture', 'two pieces of furniture', or just 'a lot of furniture'.
Do we say 'off the light' or 'turn off the light'?
Say 'turn off the light' to switch it off, and 'turn on the light' to switch it on. 'Off' by itself is not a verb, so 'off the light' is not correct English.
