How to Make Polite Requests in English

A polite request is a way of asking for help or action that respects the other person. Instead of an order like 'Give me water', we use question forms such as 'Could you give me some water, please?'
Polite request হলো এমনভাবে সাহায্য বা কাজ চাওয়া যা অন্যকে সম্মান করে। 'Give me water'-এর মতো আদেশের বদলে আমরা 'Could you give me some water, please?'-এর মতো প্রশ্নরূপ ব্যবহার করি।

A bare command sounds like an order. Adding 'Could you…' and 'please' makes it a polite request.
Would you mind to open the window?
Would you mind opening the window?
After 'Would you mind' the verb takes -ing (opening), not 'to open'.
Please you help me?
Could you help me, please?
'Please' is not a question word. Start with 'Could/Can you…' and put 'please' at the end.
I want you send me the report.
Could you send me the report, please?
'I want you…' sounds demanding; a polite request uses 'Could you…?'

- A smile and a 'thank you' after the request matter as much as the words themselves. — অনুরোধের পরে একটি হাসি ও 'thank you' শব্দগুলোর মতোই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

What is the most polite way to ask for something in English?
