Introductionভূমিকা

In Dhaka, the calm complaint often gets nowhere and the loud one gets attention, so we learn to raise our voice early. In an English-speaking shop, hotel or call centre it works the other way round: the calm, specific complaint gets fixed, and the loud one gets a manager, a form and a long wait. The skill is not softness — it is aiming at the problem instead of the person.

A polite complaint in English has four parts: a soft opening, the problem stated impersonally, what you would like done, and a thank-you. Leave out the third part and you have only expressed unhappiness — you have not asked for anything.

"You gave me the wrong dish" → "Sorry, I think this isn't what I ordered." Common Mistakesসাধারণ ভুল

Give me another one. This is bad.
Would it be possible to get another one? This one isn't quite right.
Direct commands sound rude in English. Soften with 'Would it be possible…?' and 'isn't quite right'.
You did a mistake in my bill.
There seems to be a mistake in my bill.
Blaming 'you' sounds aggressive. Say the problem 'seems' to exist, without pointing fingers.
I am angry with your service.
I'm a bit disappointed with the service, to be honest.
'A bit disappointed' is calmer and more effective than announcing anger.
The food is very bad, change it now.
I'm afraid the food isn't very fresh — could you please replace it?
Add a soft opener ('I'm afraid') and a polite request instead of a demand.

Start with an apology word — 'Excuse me' or 'Sorry to bother you' — even when the problem isn't your fault. It sets a friendly tone. — একটা দুঃখপ্রকাশ দিয়ে শুরু করুন — 'Excuse me' বা 'Sorry to bother you' — সমস্যা আপনার দোষ না হলেও। এতে বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ সুর তৈরি হয়।
