Our National Anthem Paragraph

Our national anthem is 'Amar Sonar Bangla', written and set to music by Rabindranath Tagore. He wrote it in 1905, during the protest against the partition of Bengal, long before this country existed, and the song was sung for decades as an expression of love for the land rather than for a state. During the Liberation War it became the song of the resistance, and it was adopted as the national anthem when Bangladesh became independent. Only the first ten lines are sung on formal occasions, and the instrumental version lasts under a minute. The words are not political at all. They speak of a mother, of the smell of mango blossom in spring, of full fields at harvest and of a shade that gives peace — the country described as something loved rather than something owned. That is unusual among national anthems, which more often speak of flags and battles. It is sung at school assemblies every morning, on the twenty-first of February, the twenty-sixth of March and the sixteenth of December, and before matches. Everyone stands, and it is worth standing properly, because very few countries begin their day with a love song to a landscape.

তথ্যভিত্তিক বিষয়, তাই **নির্ভুলতা** সবচেয়ে জরুরি: রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর, ১৯০৫, বঙ্গভঙ্গ, প্রথম দশ চরণ। ক্রম: (১) কোন গান ও কে লিখেছেন; (২) **কবে ও কোন প্রেক্ষাপটে** — এই দেশ হওয়ার আগেই; (৩) মুক্তিযুদ্ধে ও গ্রহণ; (৪) কতটুকু গাওয়া হয়; (৫) **কথাগুলো কী নিয়ে** — মা, আমের মুকুল, ফসলের মাঠ, ছায়া; (৬) কখন গাওয়া হয়; (৭) শেষ ভাবনা। পঞ্চম ও সপ্তম অংশ দুটোই আলাদা: অন্য দেশের জাতীয় সংগীতে থাকে পতাকা আর যুদ্ধ, আমাদেরটায় আছে একটা ভূদৃশ্যের প্রতি প্রেম। এই তুলনাটা প্রায় কোনো উত্তরে নেই।
