Model Paragraph (200 words)
A fisherman is a person who catches fish for a living, and in a country of seven hundred rivers there are millions of them. He usually lives in a village on a riverbank or on the coast, in a small house near his boat, and the work has often been in his family for generations. He goes out at night or before dawn with his nets, and comes back in the morning to sell the catch at the local market or to a trader who is waiting for him. Different fish need different nets and different seasons, and he knows the river well enough to say where they will be. It is hard and uncertain work. He may return with a full boat or with almost nothing, and it is the trader rather than the fisherman who takes most of the price. Sea fishing is dangerous: boats are lost in storms every year, and warnings do not always reach them in time. During the hilsa ban he is not allowed to fish at all, and the government allowance rarely covers the weeks he loses. He supplies the protein of a whole nation and is among the poorest people in it.

A fisherman catches fish and sells it and he is poor.
Different fish need different nets and different seasons, and he knows the river well enough to say where they will be.
The second sentence shows skill. Reducing him to poverty leaves out what he actually knows.
He catches fish by net in the river everyday.
He goes out at night or before dawn with his nets.
'Everyday' is an adjective; the adverb is 'every day'. The rewrite also adds the detail that matters.
A fisherman earns a lot of money by selling fish.
It is the trader rather than the fisherman who takes most of the price.
The price a customer pays and the price a fisherman receives are very different, and that gap is the point.
- Should I mention the hilsa ban?
- Yes, one or two sentences. It is a real policy that protects the fish but costs the fisherman weeks of income, and it shows current knowledge.
- River fishing or sea fishing?
- Cover river fishing mainly and give sea fishing two sentences for the danger. Storms and lost boats are the strongest detail in the topic.
- How should it end?
- With the contrast between what he supplies and what he keeps. It is factual, it is not sentimental, and it stays in the reader's mind.
