Past Simple Tense
Past Simple Tense (সাধারণ অতীত কাল)
Introductionভূমিকা
The past simple tense (also called the past indefinite) is how we talk about finished actions in the past. Whether you did something a minute ago or years ago, if it is over, the past simple is your tense — 'I watched a film', 'She went home'.
Past simple tense (past indefinite নামেও পরিচিত) দিয়ে আমরা অতীতে শেষ হয়ে যাওয়া কাজের কথা বলি। এক মিনিট আগে হোক বা বহু বছর আগে — কাজটি শেষ হয়ে গেলে past simple ব্যবহার করি: 'I watched a film', 'She went home'।
Definitionসংজ্ঞা
The past simple uses the past form of the verb. Regular verbs add -ed (work → worked); irregular verbs change their spelling (go → went, eat → ate).
Past simple-এ verb-এর past form বসে। Regular verb-এ -ed যোগ হয় (work → worked); irregular verb-এর বানান বদলে যায় (go → went, eat → ate)।
