যে ভুলটা সবচেয়ে বেশি হয়

দুবার তুলনা করা। বাংলায় “আরও বেশি বড়” বলা যায়, তাই ইংরেজিতেও more taller, most best লেখা স্বাভাবিক মনে হয়। ইংরেজিতে একটা শব্দ একবারই তুলনা বহন করে — হয় -er/-est, নয়তো more/most, দুটো একসাথে নয়।

A handful of very common adjectives that change shape entirely. These must be memorised.

Add -er and -est-er ও -est যোগ হয়

One-syllable adjectives. A word already ending in -e only adds -r and -st.

The last letter doublesশেষ ব্যঞ্জন দ্বিগুণ হয়

A short vowel between two consonants doubles the final letter before -er and -est.

-y becomes -ier-y বদলে -ier

Two-syllable adjectives ending in -y take the endings, not 'more' and 'most'.

Use more and mostmore ও most বসে

Longer adjectives keep their spelling and take a separate word instead.
