Sir, With due respect, we the students of class nine beg to draw your kind attention to the condition of our classroom. The roof has been leaking since the beginning of the monsoon, and on a rainy day water falls on the last two benches, so the students sitting there must move and share seats with others. Two of the windows have broken shutters that cannot be closed, and rain and dust come in freely. The electric fans are also out of order. In this heat it becomes very difficult to sit through a class, and several students have felt unwell during the afternoon periods. The wall behind the blackboard has become damp, and the plaster is falling in places, which makes the writing hard to read from the back rows. These problems are seriously disturbing our lessons at a time when we are preparing for our annual examination. We therefore pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take necessary steps to repair our classroom as early as possible and oblige thereby.
