Weather vocabulary describes the day-to-day condition of the sky and air (sunny, rainy, humid, windy), while season vocabulary names longer periods of the year (summer, monsoon, winter). English seasons and Bengali seasons do not match one-to-one.
Weather vocabulary আকাশ ও বাতাসের প্রতিদিনের অবস্থা বোঝায় (sunny, rainy, humid, windy), আর season vocabulary বছরের দীর্ঘ সময় বোঝায় (summer, monsoon, winter)। ইংরেজি ও বাংলা ঋতু হুবহু এক নয়।

আবহাওয়া নিয়ে কথা বলার সময় সাধারণত আমরা বলি “It is…” অথবা “It is going to…”। যেমন — “It is hot today.” (আজ গরম), “It is raining.” (বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে)। মনে রাখবেন weather (আবহাওয়া) একটি uncountable শব্দ, তাই কখনো “a weather” বলা যায় না। ঋতুর নাম — spring (বসন্ত), summer (গ্রীষ্ম), autumn/fall (শরৎ), winter (শীত)। বাংলাদেশে monsoon (বর্ষা) খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঋতু, ইংরেজিতে একে rainy season-ও বলা হয়। তাপমাত্রা বোঝাতে hot (গরম), warm (উষ্ণ), cool (ঠান্ডা-ঠান্ডা), cold (ঠান্ডা) ব্যবহার করুন, আর আর্দ্রতা বোঝাতে humid (আর্দ্র) — যা ঢাকার গরমকালকে খুব ভালো বর্ণনা করে।

- Monsoon — The monsoon usually arrives in June.বর্ষা — বর্ষাকাল সাধারণত জুন মাসে আসে।
- Breeze — A cool breeze from the river felt lovely in the evening.মৃদু বাতাস — সন্ধ্যায় নদীর মৃদু ঠান্ডা বাতাস দারুণ লাগছিল।
Common Mistakesসাধারণ ভুল
The weather is raining.
It is raining.
For an action in the sky we use 'It is + verb-ing', not 'the weather is'. 'Weather' describes a condition, not the action itself.
Today is a very hot weather.
Today the weather is very hot. / It is very hot today.
'Weather' is uncountable, so we cannot say 'a weather'. Drop the article 'a'.
I like the climate today.
I like the weather today.
'Climate' is the long-term pattern over years; for one day's condition use 'weather'.

Is 'weather' countable in English?
