Signs and notices use short, direct English — often just two or three words. They tell you what to do, what not to do, and where to go. Learning the common ones helps you move safely through airports, stations, shops and streets.
সাইন ও নোটিশে ছোট, সরাসরি ইংরেজি থাকে — প্রায়ই মাত্র দুই-তিন শব্দ। এগুলো বলে কী করতে হবে, কী করা যাবে না আর কোথায় যেতে হবে। সাধারণ সাইনগুলো শিখলে বিমানবন্দর, স্টেশন, দোকান ও রাস্তায় নিরাপদে চলা সহজ হয়।

Signs and notices are short public messages that give instructions, warnings or information. They usually drop small words (a, the, is) and use the imperative — 'Keep left', 'No entry', 'Mind the gap'.
সাইন ও নোটিশ হলো ছোট জনসাধারণের বার্তা যা নির্দেশ, সতর্কতা বা তথ্য দেয়। এতে ছোট শব্দ (a, the, is) বাদ পড়ে এবং আদেশবাচক রূপ ব্যবহার হয় — 'Keep left', 'No entry', 'Mind the gap'।

Reading 'No entry' as a place you should enter.
Reading 'No entry' as 'do not go in'.
'No' before a word makes it a prohibition — it forbids the action.
Thinking 'Push' and 'Pull' mean the same thing.
'Push' = press the door away; 'Pull' = draw it toward you.
They are opposite actions; mixing them up gets you stuck at the door.
Reading 'Out of order' as 'in a line / arranged'.
