Say 'red' with the tongue curled back, touching nothing.
The English R is an approximant — a tap or roll instantly sounds like Bangla, not English.
Saying 'light' when you mean 'right' (R → L).
For R, curl the tongue back; for L, the tongue tip touches behind the teeth.
R and L are different: R has no contact, L has firm tongue-tip contact.

- Practise the pair 'right' and 'light' slowly until the two feel clearly different in your mouth. — 'right' আর 'light' জোড়াটি ধীরে ধীরে অনুশীলন করুন, যতক্ষণ না মুখে দুটোর পার্থক্য স্পষ্ট লাগে।

Why is the English R so hard for Bangla speakers?
Because the Bangla র is a quick tap of the tongue, while the English R has no contact at all. The muscle habit is completely different, so it needs slow, deliberate practice.
Is the American R and British R the same?
