A Journey by Train Paragraph

Last winter I travelled from Dhaka to Sylhet by train with my elder brother, and it is still the most enjoyable journey I have made. We reached Kamalapur station an hour early. The platform was crowded with passengers, porters carrying luggage on their heads, hawkers selling tea, jhalmuri and newspapers, and families sitting on their bags waiting. The train came in slowly, and after some pushing we found our reserved seats by a window. It started with a long whistle. As soon as we left the city the view changed completely. Green paddy fields ran to the horizon, boys waved at the train from the edge of a pond, and small stations passed with their names painted on tin boards. A blind singer moved through our compartment with a harmonium, and passengers gave him what they could. We ate the food our mother had packed and talked to a schoolteacher travelling to Srimangal. Unlike a bus, a train does not jerk, and one can walk about, which is why the eight hours passed easily. We reached Sylhet at dusk, tired but happy, and I have preferred trains ever since.

গত শীতে বড় ভাইয়ের সাথে ঢাকা থেকে সিলেট ট্রেনে গিয়েছিলাম, আর এখনো সেটাই আমার সবচেয়ে আনন্দময় ভ্রমণ। এক ঘণ্টা আগেই কমলাপুর স্টেশনে পৌঁছেছিলাম। প্ল্যাটফর্ম ভরা যাত্রী, মাথায় মালামাল বওয়া কুলি, চা-ঝালমুড়ি-পত্রিকা বিক্রেতা, আর ব্যাগের উপর বসে অপেক্ষা করা পরিবার। ট্রেন ধীরে এসে থামল, কিছুটা ধাক্কাধাক্কির পর জানালার পাশে আমাদের সংরক্ষিত আসন পেলাম। লম্বা হুইসেলে যাত্রা শুরু হলো। শহর ছাড়তেই দৃশ্য পুরো বদলে গেল — সবুজ ধানখেত দিগন্ত পর্যন্ত ছড়ানো, পুকুরপাড় থেকে ছেলেরা ট্রেনের দিকে হাত নাড়ছে, টিনের সাইনবোর্ডে নাম লেখা ছোট ছোট স্টেশন পেরিয়ে যাচ্ছে। বাসের মতো ট্রেন ঝাঁকায় না, হাঁটাচলা করা যায় — তাই আট ঘণ্টা সহজেই কেটে গেল।

এটি **আখ্যান**, তাই পুরোটা past tense-এ লিখুন আর সময় ধরে এগোন: (১) কবে, কোথা থেকে কোথায়, কার সাথে; (২) স্টেশনের দৃশ্য; (৩) ট্রেন ছাড়া; (৪) **পথের দৃশ্য** — সবচেয়ে বড় অংশ; (৫) ভেতরের ঘটনা — সহযাত্রী, ফেরিওয়ালা; (৬) পৌঁছানো ও অনুভূতি। নম্বর আসে **ইন্দ্রিয়ের বিবরণ** থেকে: হুইসেল, ঝালমুড়ির ডাক, টিনের সাইনবোর্ড, হারমোনিয়ামের শব্দ। আর একটা তুলনা রাখুন — বাসের চেয়ে ট্রেনে ঝাঁকুনি কম, হাঁটা যায়। এতে দেখা যায় আপনি কেবল বর্ণনা করছেন না, ভাবছেনও।
