A Cricket Match Paragraph

Last Friday I watched a cricket match between our school and a neighbouring high school on our own field, and I have not enjoyed a game so much before. The match began at nine in the morning. Our captain won the toss and chose to bat, which turned out to be a mistake, because we lost three wickets in the first six overs to a fast bowler nobody could read. Then our opening batsman and the number five settled in and put on sixty-two runs together, and we finished at a hundred and thirty-four in twenty overs. The field was surrounded by students of both schools sitting on the grass, and every four was met with drums and shouting. Their side started well and looked certain to win with three overs left. Our captain then brought back a spinner who had been hit for two sixes earlier, and he took three wickets in seven balls. The last pair needed eight runs from the final over and could manage only five. What I remember is not the win but the decision to trust a bowler who had already been punished.
