Letter to the Editor about Drug Addiction

Drug addiction is spreading among young people in our town, and it is no longer hidden. Boys of school and college age gather after dusk near the railway line and behind the bus stand. Several families in our ward have quietly withdrawn their sons from college this year, and everyone knows why. Addiction rarely begins with a decision. It begins with company. A boy who fails an examination, or who has no work after his degree, is easy to draw in, and the first supply is often free. By the time the family notices, money has begun to disappear from the house. The cost is not only to the addicted. Petty theft has risen in our area, and parents no longer allow young children to play outside after dark. A family that loses a son this way loses its future earnings as well as its peace. I request the authorities to increase watch at the known spots, to act against the sellers rather than only the users, and to open a counselling centre where a family can seek help without shame. সামাজিক সমস্যার চিঠিতে সবচেয়ে বড় ফাঁদ হলো **সাধারণ কথা লেখা** — 'মাদক একটি অভিশাপ, এটি যুবসমাজ ধ্বংস করছে'। এটি সত্যি, কিন্তু প্রতিটি খাতায় একই কথা থাকে বলে আলাদা নম্বর আনে না। বদলে **স্থানীয় ও নির্দিষ্ট** লিখুন: কোথায় জড়ো হয়, কোন বয়স, পরিবারে কী ঘটেছে। দ্বিতীয় অনুচ্ছেদে **কীভাবে শুরু হয়** ব্যাখ্যা করুন — এটাই চিঠিটিকে ভাবনাশীল করে। তৃতীয়তে **অন্যদের উপর প্রভাব**, কারণ তাতে বিষয়টি সবার সমস্যা হয়ে ওঠে। দাবিতে **বিক্রেতা ও সেবনকারীর পার্থক্য** করুন — এই একটি লাইন দেখায় আপনি বিষয়টি বুঝে লিখছেন।
