Phrasal Verbs with Run
Phrasal Verbs with Run (Run দিয়ে গঠিত Phrasal Verb)
Introductionভূমিকা
'Run' does much more than describe fast movement — with a small particle it builds some of the most common phrasal verbs in everyday English. Learn a handful of them and you can talk about meeting a friend, using up your data or cancelling plans, all without translating word for word from Bangla.
Definitionসংজ্ঞা
A phrasal verb with 'run' is 'run' plus a particle (into, out of, away, over, through) that together take a new meaning you cannot always guess from the two words alone.
'Run' দিয়ে গঠিত phrasal verb মানে 'run'-এর সাথে একটি particle (into, out of, away, over, through) যোগ হয়ে নতুন একটি অর্থ তৈরি হয়, যা আলাদা শব্দ দেখে সবসময় অনুমান করা যায় না।
Bangla Explanationবাংলা ব্যাখ্যা
Phrasal verb মানে verb + একটি ছোট শব্দ (particle) মিলে নতুন অর্থ তৈরি হওয়া। 'Run' দিয়ে অনেক phrasal verb হয় এবং particle বদলালে অর্থ পুরোপুরি বদলে যায়। যেমন — run into মানে হঠাৎ কারো সাথে দেখা হওয়া, run out of মানে কোনো কিছু ফুরিয়ে যাওয়া, run away মানে পালিয়ে যাওয়া, run over মানে গাড়ি চাপা দেওয়া (আবার দ্রুত একবার দেখে নেওয়া), আর run through মানে দ্রুত একবার রিহার্সাল বা পর্যালোচনা করা। খেয়াল রেখো — 'run out' একা বসতে পারে (Time is running out), কিন্তু কোনো জিনিসের কথা বললে 'of' লাগে: run out of milk, run out of money। বাংলা থেকে শব্দে শব্দে অনুবাদ না করে পুরো phrasal verb-টিকে একটি নতুন শব্দ হিসেবে বাক্যের ভেতরে মুখস্থ করাই সবচেয়ে নিরাপদ।
