সুখে-দুঃখে পাশে থাকা and “stand by someone through thick and thin” are the same promise in two languages, and সুসময়ের বন্ধু is exactly “a fair-weather friend”. Then comes “bury the hatchet”, which comes from a Native American custom of burying a war axe to end a fight — nothing in Bangla, nothing in the words, nothing to do but learn it. Friendship idioms divide neatly into the ones you already believe and the ones you simply have to take on trust.
