Bangla says ভয়ে হাত-পা ঠান্ডা হয়ে গেছে and English says “I got cold feet” — and here is the trap, because they are not the same thing. The Bangla means fear so strong that the body freezes. The English means something narrower: you had agreed to do something, and at the last moment you backed out. A groom who gets cold feet does not run because he is terrified; he runs because he changed his mind. Near-matches like this cost more marks than complete strangers do.
