Meaning

Used to say how far back in the past something happened.

Example sentences

He left two days ago.সে দুদিন আগে চলে গেছে।
Long ago there was a king.বহুকাল আগে এক রাজা ছিল।
I saw her a moment ago.একটু আগেই তাকে দেখলাম।

A common mistake

He came before two days.→He came two days ago.

ago সময়ের পরে বসে এবং past tense নেয় — 'two days ago'। before সময়ের আগে বসে না এভাবে। বাংলার 'দুদিন আগে' থেকে before চলে আসে।
