Definitionসংজ্ঞা
A phrasal verb with 'take' is 'take' plus a particle (off, up, after, out, over…) that together form a new meaning, often very different from the verb 'take' on its own.
'Take' দিয়ে গঠিত phrasal verb মানে 'take'-এর সাথে একটি particle (off, up, after, out, over…) যোগ হয়ে নতুন একটি অর্থ তৈরি হয়, যা প্রায়ই একা 'take' শব্দের অর্থ থেকে ভিন্ন।
Bangla Explanationবাংলা ব্যাখ্যা
'Take' দিয়ে গঠিত phrasal verb-গুলোতে particle বদলালেই অর্থ বদলে যায়। যেমন — take off মানে উড়োজাহাজের উড়াল দেওয়া অথবা জামা-জুতা খোলা, take up মানে নতুন কোনো শখ বা কাজ শুরু করা, আর take after মানে দেখতে বা স্বভাবে পরিবারের কারো মতো হওয়া। take care of মানে যত্ন নেওয়া, take over মানে দায়িত্ব বা নিয়ন্ত্রণ নেওয়া। মনে রাখবেন — take off ও take out separable, অর্থাৎ object মাঝখানেও বসতে পারে (take off your shoes / take your shoes off)। কিন্তু take after inseparable। বাংলা থেকে সরাসরি অনুবাদ না করে পুরো phrasal verb-টি একটি নতুন শব্দ হিসেবে শিখুন।
