Bangla Explanationবাংলা ব্যাখ্যা
'Put' দিয়ে গঠিত phrasal verb-এ particle বদলালেই অর্থ বদলে যায়। যেমন — put on মানে জামা পরা অথবা ওজন বাড়া, put off মানে কোনো কিছু স্থগিত করা (পিছিয়ে দেওয়া), put out মানে আগুন নেভানো, আর put up with মানে বিরক্তিকর কিছু সহ্য করা। বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি বড় ভুল হলো বাতি নেভানোকে 'put off the light' বলা — সঠিক হলো 'turn off the light'; 'put off' মানে স্থগিত করা, নেভানো নয়। put on, put off, put away ইত্যাদি separable — object মাঝখানেও বসতে পারে। কিন্তু put up with তিন-শব্দের inseparable phrasal verb, তিনটি শব্দ সবসময় একসাথে থাকে।

Tipsটিপস
- 'Put on', 'put off', 'put away' and 'put down' are separable: 'put off the meeting' or 'put the meeting off'. With a pronoun, the object must go in the middle: 'put it off'. — 'Put on', 'put off', 'put away' ও 'put down' separable: 'put off the meeting' বা 'put the meeting off'। Pronoun হলে object অবশ্যই মাঝখানে: 'put it off'।
- 'Put up with' is a three-part, inseparable phrasal verb — always keep the three words together and put the object after them. — 'Put up with' তিন-অংশের inseparable phrasal verb — তিনটি শব্দ সবসময় একসাথে রাখুন এবং object পরে বসান।
- Remember the difference: 'put on' = start wearing (an action); 'wear' = have on your body (a state). 'I put on my shirt' vs 'I am wearing a blue shirt'. — পার্থক্যটি মনে রাখুন: 'put on' = পরা শুরু করা (কাজ); 'wear' = গায়ে থাকা (অবস্থা)। 'I put on my shirt' বনাম 'I am wearing a blue shirt'।
