'keep' verb-টি up, on, away, to, down-এর মতো particle-এর সাথে মিলে ইংরেজি কথ্য ভাষার সবচেয়ে প্রচলিত কিছু phrasal verb তৈরি করে। এগুলো চালিয়ে যাওয়া, এড়িয়ে চলা ও তাল মিলিয়ে চলার ভাব প্রকাশ করে — প্রতিদিন যা লাগে।
Definitionসংজ্ঞা
A phrasal verb is a verb plus a particle whose meaning is often different from the separate words: 'keep up with' means to move at the same speed as something, not simply to hold something upward.
Phrasal verb হলো verb ও particle-এর মিলিত রূপ, যার অর্থ প্রায়ই আলাদা শব্দগুলোর থেকে আলাদা। যেমন 'keep up with' মানে কোনো কিছুর সাথে সমান গতিতে চলা — শুধু উপরে ধরে রাখা নয়।
