Bangladesh is divided into districts and then into tehsils.→It is divided into divisions, districts, upazilas and unions. Here the word survives mainly in the union land-revenue office — the তহসিল অফিস and its তহসিলদার — while tehsil as a tier of general administration belongs to India and Pakistan.
