A common mistake

Machine stitching is always stronger than hand stitching.→Not in leather. A machine makes a chain of interlocking loops, so a single broken stitch can unzip a whole seam. The hand saddle stitch passes two needles through each hole from opposite sides, and if one thread breaks the rest stays exactly where it is.
