Listening practice is deliberate training with audio: you set a small goal (catch every word, or copy the rhythm), listen repeatedly, check yourself, and fix what you missed.
Listening practice মানে অডিও দিয়ে সচেতন চর্চা — একটা ছোট লক্ষ্য ঠিক করুন (প্রতিটি শব্দ ধরা, বা ছন্দ নকল করা), বারবার শুনুন, নিজেকে যাচাই করুন, আর যা মিস করেছেন তা ঠিক করুন।

সেরা তিনটি practice পদ্ধতি: (১) Shadowing — অডিও চালিয়ে ঠিক পিছু পিছু, একই ছন্দ ও উচ্চারণে বলার চেষ্টা করুন, যেন ছায়ার মতো। (২) Dictation — ছোট একটা ক্লিপ শুনে যা শুনছেন তা লিখে ফেলুন, তারপর transcript-এর সাথে মিলিয়ে দেখুন কোথায় ভুল। (৩) Subtitle drill — প্রথমবার subtitle সহ, দ্বিতীয়বার subtitle ছাড়া একই অংশ শুনুন। প্রতিদিন একটি podcast episode বা সংবাদের ২-৩ মিনিট নিয়ে এই পদ্ধতিগুলো ঘুরিয়ে ঘুরিয়ে করুন। মনে রাখবেন — গান শোনা listening practice নয়, কারণ সুরের কারণে শব্দ বোঝা কঠিন; কথা-ভিত্তিক অডিও বেছে নিন।

Doing dictation with a long, 10-minute audio.
Doing dictation with a short, 20-30 second clip.
Short clips let you replay and check every word; long audio is overwhelming and you give up.
Shadowing silently in your head.
Shadowing out loud, copying rhythm and stress.
Speaking aloud trains your ear and mouth together; silent shadowing skips the useful part.
Using songs as your main listening practice.
Using speech-based audio (podcasts, news, dialogues).
Melody, rhyme and stretched vowels distort words, so songs are poor for training comprehension.
Checking the transcript before you have tried listening.
Listening first, then checking the transcript.
Reading first removes the challenge; your ears only train when they do the work before you check.
