A common mistake

A country with as much water as Bangladesh ought to be able to generate plenty of hydropower.→Hydropower needs falling water, not merely a great deal of it — the energy comes from height at least as much as from flow. A delta a few metres above sea level has almost no height to give, which is why the country has just one hydroelectric station, at Kaptai in the hill tracts.
