A common mistake

A switched-off phone in your pocket is fine, since you are not using it.→Under most examination rules the offence is possession, not use — a phone found on a candidate, even switched off and in a bag under the desk, is treated as unfair means. It belongs outside the hall entirely.

নিয়মগুলো ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে কড়া, কারণ ব্যবহার প্রমাণ করা কঠিন কিন্তু সঙ্গে থাকা প্রমাণ করা সহজ। বহু বোর্ড ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিধিতে লেখা থাকে — মোবাইল, স্মার্টওয়াচ বা ব্লুটুথ যন্ত্র সঙ্গে পাওয়া গেলেই বহিষ্কার। বন্ধ ছিল কি না তা যুক্তি হিসেবে গৃহীত হয় না। হলে ঢোকার আগেই বাইরে রেখে যাওয়াই একমাত্র নিরাপদ পথ।
